Visual/Physical Inspection

    • Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the door locks, door ajar indicator, mirrors, power sliding door, and windows systems. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories in Wiring Systems.
    • Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Intermittent

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Door Locks

For symptom diagnosis refer to one of the following:

    •  Automatic Door Locks Inoperative
    •  Power Door Locks Inoperative
    •  Power Door Locks Switch Inoperative - One
    •  Power Door Locks Inoperative - One Motor
    •  Power Door Locks Switch Lock Function Inoperative - One
    •  Power Door Locks Switch Unlock Function Inoperative - One

Indicators

For symptom diagnosis refer to one of the following:

    •  DOOR AJAR Message Always On
    •  DOOR AJAR Message Inoperative

Mirrors

For symptom diagnosis refer to one of the following:

    • Heated Mirrors Always On refer to Defoggers and Heated Mirrors Always On
    •  Heated Mirrors Inoperative
    •  Power Mirrors Inoperative
    •  Power Mirrors Inoperative - One
    •  Power Mirrors Inoperative in Left/Right Direction - One
    •  Power Mirrors Inoperative in Up/Down Direction - One

Power Sliding Door

Windows
