Did you review the operation and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Disconnect the LF window regulator motor connector.
  2. Place the ignition switch into the RUN position.
  3. Using a test lamp, probe the LF window regulator motor connector between terminals A and B. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  4. Press the LF window switch UP and then DOWN.

Does the test lamp illuminate after both actions?

Replace the LF window regulator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the LF window switch.
  3. Using a DMM, check circuit 164 and 165 for continuity, and a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Are either of these conditions present?

Go to Step 5

Repair the poor connection or open, or short to ground in circuit 164 or 165. Refer to Connector Repairs or Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the LF window switch. Refer to Door Trim Plate Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
