The power sliding door (PSD) system can operate correctly only if the sliding door is in good mechanical condition. The sliding door tracks and the rollers must be in good condition and free from obstructions. This will allow the sliding door to move smoothly and without excessive resistance.

Any mechanical problems will affect the operation of the PSD. Repair any mechanical condition in the sliding door before you attempt to diagnose the PSD system.

Refer to Power Sliding Door (PSD) Customer Concerns for a list of the most common customer complaints. Find the condition in the first column and refer to the indicated procedure in the second column.

If the condition is electrical, refer to Power Sliding Door (PSD) Diagnostic System Check .

Incorrect operation of the PSD is usually caused by a mechanical condition and is usually not related to PSD components.

Verify the normal mechanical operation of the PSD before you perform the electrical diagnosis. This will prevent misdiagnosis.
