Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the front door energy absorber pad (coupe only). Refer to Trim Panel Energy Absorber Pad - Front Door .
  4. Remove the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the front door window belt inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  7. Remove the front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  8. Remove the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  9. Remove the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  10. Remove the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  11. Remove the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  12. Remove the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  13. Remove the front door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .
  14. Remove the front door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  15. Remove the front door side molding. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  16. Remove the front door lower finish panel. Refer to Door Lower Finish Panel Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  17. Remove the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  18. Support the front door.

  19. Remove the intermediate front door hinge bolts.
  20. Remove the front door, with an assistant.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 459513 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the intermediate front door hinge bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the front door hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  2. Remove the front door support.
  3. Install the front door rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  4. Install the front door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  5. Install the front door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .
  6. Install the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  7. Install the front door outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  8. Install the front door window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  9. Install the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  10. Install the front door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  11. Install the front door window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  12. Install the front door window inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  13. Connect the electrical connectors.
  14. Install the front door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement .
  15. Install the front door energy absorber pad (coupe only). Refer to Trim Panel Energy Absorber Pad - Front Door .
  16. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  17. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  18. Adjust the front door . Refer to Front Side Door Adjustment .
  19. Install the front door lower finish panel. Refer to Door Lower Finish Panel Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  20. Install the front door side moldings. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
