Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
  2. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear door outer energy absorber pad. Refer to Outer Rear Energy Absorber Pad Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear door inner window sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary .
  7. Remove the rear door frame applique. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement .
  8. Remove the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  9. Remove the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  10. Remove the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  11. Remove the rear door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  12. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement
  13. Remove the rear door window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  14. Disconnect the wiring harness.
  15. Remove the rear door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  16. Remove the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  17. Remove the rear door side molding. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  18. Remove the rear door lower finish panel. Refer to Door Lower Finish Panel Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  19. Object Number: 467485  Size: SH
  20. Support the rear door.
  21. Remove the intermediate rear door hinge bolts.
  22. Remove the rear door, with an assistant.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear door, with an assistant.

  2. Object Number: 467485  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the intermediate rear door hinge bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the intermediate rear door hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  5. Remove the rear door support.
  6. Install the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  7. Install the rear door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  8. Connect the wiring harness.
  9. Install the rear door window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  10. Install the rear door window weatherstrip.
  11. Install the rear door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  12. Install the rear door inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  13. Install the rear door outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  14. Install the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  15. Install the rear door frame applique. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement .
  16. Install the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary .
  17. Install the rear door window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  18. Install the rear door outer energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  19. Install the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement .
  20. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  21. Install the rear door trim panel.
  22. Adjust the rear door. Refer to Rear Door Adjustment .
  23. Install the rear door side molding. Refer to Body Side Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  24. Install the rear door lower finish panel. Refer to Door Lower Finish Panel Replacement in Exterior Trim.
