Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 315841 Size: SH
  1. Position the rear door window to the down position.
  2. Pull the rear door window weatherstrip away from the applique.
  3. Loosen the rear door window channel retainer. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement .
  4. Remove the screws from the rear door frame applique.
  5. Pull the applique away from the channel retainer, slide the applique up to remove it from the door.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear door frame applique to the rear door.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the screws to the rear door frame applique.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the door frame applique screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the rear door window weatherstrip.
  4. Install the rear door window run channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  5. Position the rear door window to the up position.
