Removal Procedure

The rear door stationary window is part of the door window weatherstrip. If the stationary window needs service, replace the entire door window weatherstrip.

  1. Place the rear door window in the full down position.
  2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary .
  7. Remove the bolts from the rear door window weatherstrip.

  9. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip from the rear door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 315946  Size: SH
  1. Position the rear door window weatherstrip to the rear door starting in the corner. Work in both directions.

  2. Object Number: 315943  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts to the window weatherstrip.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door window weatherstrip bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Close the rear door window.
  6. Inspect the rear door window in order to ensure the window is properly positioned in the rear door window weatherstrip.
  7. Install the rear door stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary .
  8. Install the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  9. Install the rear door inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement .
  10. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  11. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
