Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement Sedan

1. Remove the seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.
2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
3. Remove the rear set back folding. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement.
4. Place seat back face down on a suitable work surface.



5. Detach the seat back cover from the seat back base as shown in illustration.
6. Turn the seat back over on the base.



7. lift the seat cover and pad to expose the seat back latch assembly (1).
8. Remove the rear centre seat latch assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Latch Replacement.
9. Remove the seat back cover.

Important: Do not install the release button until the seat cover is fully installed.

1. Install the centre seat back latch assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Latch Replacement.
2. Turn the centre seat over.

Important: When installing the seat cover, pull the cover tight in all corners to ensure no lumps will occur.

3. Install the centre seat cover to the seat pad and frame, listen for audible clicks to confirm fitting.
4. Turn the centre seat over.
5. Press down firmly on the seat pad channels to ensure a smooth finish to the cover.
6. Install the rear set back folding. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement.
7. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
8. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.

Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement Sportwagon

1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.
2. Remove the left rear seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement.
3. Place the left rear seat back assembly on a suitable surface.



4. Remove the left rear seat back latch release button cover (1) from the left rear seat back assembly (3).
5. Remove the left rear seat back child restraint tether anchor cover (2) from the left rear seat back assembly (3).



6. Remove the circlip (3) from the left rear seat back pivot retainer assembly (2).
7. Remove the left rear seat back pivot retainer assembly (2) from the left rear seat back assembly (4).
8. Remove the left rear seat back latch trim cover (1) from the left rear seat back assembly (4).




Important: Care must be taken not to damage the left rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) and the left rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) when disengaging them from the left rear seat back cover retaining strip channel (3).

9. Using a suitable tool disengage the left rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) from the left rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).
10. Using a suitable tool disengage the left rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) from the left rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).



11. Unzip the left rear seat back cover zippers (2).
12. Fold back the left rear seat back cover (1).




Important: Take care not to tear the left rear seat back cover (1) when removing it from the left rear seat back assembly (2).

13. Detach the velcro strips (3) from the left rear seat back assembly (2) and remove the left rear seat back cover (1) from the left rear seat back assembly (2).

Important: Make sure that the velcro strips (3) are located correctly. Failure to comply may result in the incorrect installation of the left rear seat back cover (1).

Important: Make sure that the left rear seat back cover (1) fits tightly without creasing, over the left rear seat back assembly (2).

1. Install the left rear seat back cover (1) to the left rear seat back assembly (2).
2. Attach the velcro strips (3) to the left rear seat back assembly (2).




Important: Conceal the zipper ends behind the left rear seat back cover (1). Failure to comply may result in damage to the left rear seat back cover zippers (2).

3. Zip up the left rear seat back cover zippers (2).




Important: Care must be taken not to damage the left rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) and the left rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) when engaging them into the left rear seat back cover retaining strip channel (3).

4. Using a suitable tool engage the left rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) into the left rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).
5. Using a suitable tool engage the left rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) into the left rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).



6. Install the left rear seat back latch trim cover (1) to the left rear seat back assembly (4)
7. Install the left rear seat back pivot retainer assembly (2) to the left rear seat back assembly (4).
8. Install the circlip (3) to the left rear seat back pivot retainer assembly (2).



9. Install the left rear seat back child restraint tether anchor cover (2) to the left rear seat back assembly (3).
10. Install the left rear seat back latch release button cover (1) to the left rear seat back assembly (3).
11. Install the left rear seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement.
12. Install the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.

1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.



2. Remove the right rear seat belt buckle nut (2).
3. Remove the right rear seat belt buckle (1).
4. Remove the right rear seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement.
5. Place the right rear seat back assembly on a suitable surface.



6. Remove the right rear seat back child restraint tether anchor covers (1) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).
7. Remove the circlip (4) from the pivot retainer assembly (3).
8. Remove the pivot retainer assembly (3) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).



9. Remove the right rear seat back latch trim cover (1) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).
10. Remove the right rear seat back latch release button cover (3) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).



11. Remove the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1) from the right rear seat back assembly (3).
12. Remove the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1) from the centre rear seatbelt (2).




Important: Care must be taken not to damage the right rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) and the right rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) when disengaging them from the right rear seat back cover retaining strip channel (3).

13. Using a suitable tool disengage the right rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) from the right rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).
14. Using a suitable tool disengage the right rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) from the right rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).



15. Unzip the right rear seat back cover zippers (1).
16. Fold back the right rear seat back cover (2).




Important: Take care not to tear the right rear seat back cover (1) when removing it from the right rear seat back assembly (2).

17. Detach the velcro strips (3) from the right rear seat back assembly (2) and remove the right rear seat back cover (1) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).

Important: Make sure that the velcro strips (3) are located correctly. Failure to comply may result in the incorrect installation of the right rear seat back cover (1).

Important: Make sure that the right rear seat back cover (1) fits tightly without creasing, over the right rear seat back assembly (2).

1. Install the right rear seat back cover (1) to the right rear seat back assembly (2). Attach the velcro strips (3) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).

2. Zip up the right rear seat back cover zippers (1).




Important: Care must be taken not to damage the right rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) and the right rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) when engaging them into the right rear seat back cover retaining strip channel (3).

3. Using a suitable tool engage the right rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) into the right rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).
4. Using a suitable tool engage the right rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) into the right rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).



5. Install the centre rear seatbelt (2) to the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1).
6. Install the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1) to the rear seat back assembly (3).



7. Attach the right rear seat back latch release button cover (3) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).
8. Attach the right rear seat back latch trim cover (1) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).



9. Attach the pivot retainer assembly (3) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).
10. Attach the circlip (4) to the pivot retainer assembly (3).
11. Attach the right rear seat back child restraint tether anchor covers (1) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).
12. Install the right rear seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement.




Important: Make sure the right rear seat belt buckle is parallel to vehicle centreline as shown.

13. Install the right rear seat belt buckle (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

14. Install the right rear seat belt buckle nut (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 43  N·m (31 lb ft).

15. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.

1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.



2. Remove the right rear seat belt buckle nut (2).
3. Remove the right rear seat belt buckle (1).
4. Remove the right rear seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement.
5. Place the right rear seat back assembly on a suitable surface.



6. Remove the right rear seat back child restraint tether anchor covers (1) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).
7. Remove the circlip (4) from the pivot retainer assembly (3).
8. Remove the pivot retainer assembly (3) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).



9. Remove the right rear seat back latch trim cover (1) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).
10. Remove the right rear seat back latch release button cover (3) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).




Important: Adjust the armrest (3) to a suitable position to access the right rear seat back cover retainer (1).

11. Carefully pull down on the right rear seat back cover retainer (1) and detach the trim flap (4) from the trim flap retainer (2).




Important: Lift the right rear seat back cover trim flap (3) to expose the armrest to right rear seat back frame retaining bolts (1).

12. Remove the right rear seat back armrest to the right rear seat back frame retaining bolts (1).
13. Remove the right rear seat back armrest assembly (2) from the right rear seat back assembly (4).



14. Remove the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1) from the rear seat back assembly (3).
15. Remove the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1) from the centre rear seatbelt (2).




Important: Care must be taken not to damage the right rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) and the right rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) when disengaging them from the right rear seat back cover retaining strip channel (3).

16. Using a suitable tool disengage the right rear seat back cover front retaining strip (1) from the right rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).
17. Using a suitable tool disengage the right rear seat back cover rear retaining strip (2) from the right rear seat back retaining strip channel (3).



18. Unzip the right rear seat back cover zipper (1).
19. Fold back the right rear seat back cover (2).




Important: Take care not to tear the right rear seat back cover (1) when removing it from the right rear seat back assembly (2).

20. Detach the velcro strips (3) from the right rear seat back assembly (2) and remove the right rear seat back cover (1) from the right rear seat back assembly (2).

5. Install the centre rear seatbelt (2) to the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1).
6. Install the centre rear seatbelt guide trim (1) to the rear seat back assembly (3).



7. Install the right rear seat back armrest assembly (2) to the right rear seat back assembly (4).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

8. Install the right rear seat back armrest to right rear seat back frame retaining bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts  to 8  N·m (31 lb in).





Important: Adjust the armrest (3) to a suitable position to access the right rear seat back cover retainer (1).

9. Carefully pull down on the right rear seat back cover retainer (1) and attach the trim flap (4) to the trim flap retainer (2).



10. Attach the right rear seat back latch release button cover (3) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).
11. Attach the right rear seat back latch trim cover (1) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).



12. Attach the pivot retainer assembly (3) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).
13. Attach the circlip (4) to the pivot retainer assembly (3).
14. Attach the right rear seat back child restraint tether anchor covers (1) to the right rear seat back assembly (2).
15. Install the right rear seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement.




Important: Make sure the right rear seat belt buckle is parallel to vehicle centreline as shown.

16. Install the right rear seat belt buckle (1).
