Removal Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Tape Corners of Panel Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Apply tape to panel and adjacent surfaces.
  2. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  3. Remove the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement .
  4. Remove the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .
  5. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
  6. Remove the front bumper fascia upper support. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement in Bumpers.
  7. Remove the washer solvent container if replacing the right front fender. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.

  8. Remove the front fender bolt (2) from inside the front wheel well.
  9. Remove the front fender bolt (1) from inside the front door hinge pillar.

    10. Object Number: 363613 Size: SH
  10. Remove the rocker molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  11. Remove the bolts from the fender at the rocker panel.

    12. Object Number: 363624 Size: SH
  12. Remove the bolt from the fender at the front compartment side rail.

    13. Object Number: 363644 Size: SH
  13. Remove the bolt from the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.
  14. Remove the front fender from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 363624 Size: SH
  1. Install the fender to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fender to front compartment side rail bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the fender to rocker panel bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the rocker molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.

    5. Object Number: 1229721 Size: SH
  5. Install the front fender bolt (2) inside the front wheel well.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the front fender bolt (1) from inside the front door hinge pillar.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the fender to front compartment side rail bolt.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 8 N·m (70 lb in).

  8. Install the washer solvent container if replacing the right front fender. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  9. Install the front bumper fascia upper support. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Upper Support Replacement in Bumpers.
  10. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement in Bumpers.
  11. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement .
  12. Install the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement .
  13. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  14. Remove the protective tape.
