Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 310414  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat adjuster track covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the front seat head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  3. Position the front seat to the full forward and the full-up position.
  4. Remove the nut from the front seat, seat belt retractor.
  5. Remove the bolts from the rear of the seat adjuster.
  6. Disconnect all electrical connectors as required.
  7. Tilt the seat foreward and slid it back to disengage the seat adjuster hooks holding the seat to the floor pan.
  8. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front seat in the vehicle.
  2. Engage the front seat hook attachments.
  3. Connect all electrical connectors as required.
  4. Install the front seat retractor side belt from the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the bolts to the rear of the seat adjuster.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat adjuster bolts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  8. Install the front seat adjuster track covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  9. Install the nut to the front seat, seat belt retractor.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat, seat belt retractor nut to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  11. Install the front seat head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  12. Inspect the front seat for proper operation.
