  1. Disconnect inoperative window switch.
  2. Using a test light, backprobe between B+ to terminal C of the inoperative window switch harness connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the left front window switch connector C2.
  2. Test for a poor connection or an open in the right rear circuit 171.

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Replace the left front window switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .

  1. Leave the test light in the same place.
  2. On the left front window switch, press and hold the inoperative window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 7

  1. Disconnect the left front window switch connector C2.
  2. Test for a short to ground in the right rear circuit 171.

Did you find a short in circuit?

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Using a test light, probe between B+ to terminal A of the inoperative window switch harness connector.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the left front window switch connector C2.
  2. Test for a poor connection or an open in the right rear circuit 170.

Did you find a poor connection or an open in the circuit?

  1. Leave the test light in the same place.
  2. Using the left front window switch, press and hold the inoperative window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the left front window switch connector C2.
  2. Test for a short to ground in the right rear circuit 170.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair a short to ground in the right rear circuit 170.

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

  1. Using a test light probe between terminal D of the inoperative window switch harness connector and ground.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 1307 between S307 and terminal D of the inoperative window switch harness connector.

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

  1. Reconnect the inoperative window switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the inoperative window's regulator motor.
  3. Using a test light, probe the inoperative window regulator motor harness connector terminal A to terminal B.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  5. While observing the test light, press the inoperative window switch to the UP, then to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the inoperative window's regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

  1. Disconnect the inoperative window switch connector.
  2. Test for an open or a short to ground in the right rear circuit 671.

Did you find an open or short in the circuit?
