Removal Procedure

The floor carpet is a molded, one-piece design.

  1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
  2. Remove the console assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  3. Remove the front door carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement
  4. On the sedan, remove the rear door carpet retainer. Refer to Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  5. Remove the anchor bolt for the front shoulder belt from the floor pan.
  6. Remove the lower trim panel from the center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  7. On the coupe, remove the lower rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 480911  Size: SH
  9. Remove the floor carpet.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 480911  Size: SH

    Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

  1. Position the floor carpet.
  2. On the coupe, install the lower rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Install the lower trim panel on the center pillar. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Install the front shoulder belt to the floor pan. Secure the belt with the anchor bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  7. On the sedan, install the rear door carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  8. Install the front door carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  9. Install the console assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  10. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
