Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2007 🢒 G6 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 3.6L 🢒 Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 1

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1839426 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (3) from the ignition coil(s).
  3. If removing the number 5 cylinder ignition coil, remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge tube. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement.
  4. If removing the number one ignition coil, remove the canister purge solenoid. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

    5. Object Number: 860797 Size: SH
  5. Remove the ignition coil bolt(s).
  6. Remove the ignition coil(s).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 860797 Size: SH
  1. Install the ignition coil(s).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the ignition coil bolt(s).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt(s) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. If the number 5 cylinder ignition coil was removed, install the EVAP canister purge tube. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement.
  4. If the number one ignition coil was removed, install the canister purge solenoid. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

    5. Object Number: 1839426 Size: SH
  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (3) to the ignition coil(s).
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
