Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 889965  Size: SH
  3. Remove the clutch start switch (2) from the clutch pedal bracket.

  4. Object Number: 878807  Size: SH
  5. Remove the clutch pedal pivot nut.

  6. Object Number: 878809  Size: SH
  7. Remove the clutch pedal bracket to front of dash nuts.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the clutch pedal position (CPP) switch.

  9. Object Number: 1553006  Size: SH
  10. Depress the tabs of the clutch master cylinder pushrod retainer and release the clutch pedal from the pushrod.
  11. Remove the clutch pedal assembly from the vehicle.
  12. If replacing the clutch pedal, remove the CPP switch from the clutch pedal assembly. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Switch Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the CPP switch to the clutch pedal assembly. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Switch Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 1553006  Size: SH
  3. Install the clutch master cylinder pushrod to the clutch pedal, ensure that the pushrod retainer is fully seated to the pedal.

  4. Object Number: 878809  Size: SH
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the CPP switch and install the clutch pedal assembly.
  6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  7. Install the clutch pedal bracket to front of dash nuts.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the clutch pedal pivot nut.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  11. Install the clutch start switch (2) to the clutch pedal bracket.
  12. Adjust the CPP switch to the clutch pedal assembly. Refer to Clutch Pedal Position Switch Adjustment .
  13. Adjust the clutch start switch. Refer to Clutch Pedal Engine Start Switch Replacement .
  14. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
