  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Attempt to operate the lock function on both doors.

Does the lock function work properly on both doors?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

  1. Connect a DMM between the inoperative door lock switch connector terminal C and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. While observing the DMM, move the inoperative door lock switch to the lock position.

Is there continuity?

Repair the open in circuit 780 between the inoperative door lock switch and S267. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 7

Test for and repair a poor connection at the inoperative door lock switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and repair a poor connection?

Replace the door lock switch. Refer to Door Lock Switch Replacement .
