Removal Procedure
- Remove the quarter rear
trim finish panel. Refer to
Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Remove the speaker grille.
- Remove the rear quarter speaker insulator, if replacing the tweeter.
- Drill out the 2 rear speaker
rivets, if replacing the mid range speaker.
- Drill out the single rear speaker rivet, if replacing the tweeter.
- Unclip the electrical connector from the trim
panel, if necessary.
- If removing the mid-range speaker, perform the following steps:
| • | Rotate the mid-range speaker counterclockwise. |
| • | Remove the speaker from the trim panel. |
- If removing the tweeter, perform the following steps:
| • | Push the retaining tab down. |
| • | Unsnap the tweeter from the trim panel. |
Installation Procedure
- If installing the tweeter, perform the following
steps:
| • | Place the top of the tweeter flange under the tabs in the trim
panel. |
| • | Push the bottom of the tweeter against the panel until secured
by retaining tab. |
- If installing the mid-range speaker, perform the following steps:
| • | Align the mid-range speaker to the trim panel. |
| • | Twist the mid-range speaker clockwise until seated in trim panel. |
- If installing the tweeter,
install a single rivet.
- If installing the mid-range speaker, install the 2 rivets.
- Install the rear quarter
speaker insulator, if replacing the tweeter.
- Install the speaker grille.
- Install the quarter rear trim finish panel. Refer to
Cargo Area Side Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
