  1. Turn the I/P lamp dimmer switch to the MAX position.
  2. Turn the ignition switch off.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.

The following lamps illuminate at full intensity:

    • I/P back lights
    • Steering wheel control back lights.
    • Radio back lights
    • HVAC panel bak lights.
    • Traction/Cruise/Hazard back lights.
    • Front window switch back lights.
    • Door lock switch back lights.
    • I/P lamp dimmer switch back lights.
    • Trip odometer reset back lights.
    • Fog lamp switch back lights.
    • Outside remote control rearview mirror switch back lights.
    • Traction control.

Turn the I/P lamp dimmer switch slowly to the minimum position.

The brightness of all the above (step 1) mentioned lamps will slowly decrease.

  1. Release the park brake.
  2. Add light source to the daytime running lamps ambient light sensor.
  3. Turn the I/P lamp dimmer switch to the MAX position.
  4. Turn the ignition switch on.
  5. Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
    • HVAC display (CJ2) illuminates.
    • Radio VF display illuminates.
    • Odometer display illuminates.
    • PRNDL display illuminates.
    • No dimmer function.

Note: The automatic transaxle control position indicator bulb illuminates anytime the ignition switch is the ACC position or ON position.

Vacuum Fluorescent Displays Do Not Change Intensity - All

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.
  2. Cover the daytime running lamps ambient light sensor with a dark cloth.
  3. Turn the ignition switch on.
    • All step 1 normal results remain the same.
    • HVAC display (CJ2) illuminates.
    • Radio VF display illuminates.
    • Odometer display illuminates.
    • Automatic transaxle control position indicator bulb illuminates.

Auto Headlamps:

Turn the I/P lamp dimmer switch slowly to the minimum position.

The brightness of all step 4 normal results will slowly decrease.

Note: The automatic transaxle control position indicator bulb illuminates anytime the ignition switch is the ACC position or on, and it does not dim.

Parade Mode:

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.
  2. Add light source to the daytime running lamps ambient light sensor.
  3. Turn the I/P lamp dimmer switch to the MAX position.
  4. Turn the ignition switch on.
  5. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  6. Turn the I/P dimmer switch past the MAX position to the first detent.
    • All step 1 normal results remain the same.
    • HVAC display (CJ2).
    • Radio VF display.
    • Odometer display.
    • PRNDL display.

Vacuum Fluorescent Displays Do Not Change Intensity - All
