Console Rear Trim Plate Replacement Pontiac

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 418075  Size: SH
  1. Open the armrest bin lid.
  2. Pull upward on the armrest bin rear trim plate (1).
  3. Rotate downward.

  4. Remove the rear trim plate (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 418075  Size: SH
  1. Slide in the top of the rear trim plate (1).
  2. Press in the bottom of the rear trim plate.
  3. Slide the trim plate (1) down.
  4. Close the armrest bin lid.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the storage bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 482123  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the console air control linkage (1, 2).

  4. Object Number: 482086  Size: SH
  5. Remove the rear plate housing fasteners (1).
  6. Remove the rear plate housing from the console.

Installation Procedure

  1. Align the rear plate housing to the console.

  2. Object Number: 482086  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fasteners (1) to the rear plate housing.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  5. Connect the console air control linkage (1, 2).
  6. Install the storage bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement .
