Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Wiper/Washer

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector C1.
  2. Set the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Set the wiper switch to OFF.
  4. Measure the voltage from connector C1, terminal B to ground with a DMM.

Is battery voltage present?

10.5-15 V

Go to Step 3

Check for a short to battery voltage in CKT 91.

Is a short circuit present?

Go to Step 6

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Wiper/Washer

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector C2.
  2. Measure the voltage from connector C2, terminal A to ground with a DMM.

Is battery voltage present?

10.5-15 V

Go to Step 7

Repair the short circuit to battery voltage in CKT 91.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the short circuit to battery voltage in CKT 92.
