Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect wiper motor connector C1.
  2. Set the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Set the wiper switch to LO.
  4. Connect a test light from connector C1, terminal B to ground.

Is the test light on?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 3

Check for an open in CKT 91.

Is an open circuit present?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 91.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Wiper/Washer

Connect the test light from connector C1, terminal C to ground.

Is the test light on?

--

Go to Step 9

Check for an open in CKT 95.

Is an open circuit present?

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT 95.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Wiper/Washer

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

  1. Disconnect wiper motor connector C2.
  2. Check for continuity from wiper motor connector C2, terminal B with a DMM.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 11

Repair the open in CKT 196.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the wiper motor cover. Refer to Wiper Motor Cover Replacement .
