Did you perform the HVAC Blower Controls System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Turn the blower switch to M2.
  3. Use the J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) in order to backprobe the heater A/C control assembly connector C1.
  4. Measure the voltage between terminal F and ground.

Does the voltage measured equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the blower resistor assembly.
  2. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A of the blower resistor assembly connector and ground.

Does the voltage measured equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 5

Replace the heater A/C control assembly. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the blower resistor assembly. Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement .

Repair the open in CKT 72 between the heater A/C assembly and the blower resistor assembly. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
