Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .

  2. Object Number: 624944  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fasteners (1) that secure the IP storage compartment door to the IP retainer.
  4. Remove the IP storage compartment and door assembly by pulling rearward.

  5. Object Number: 624940  Size: SH
  6. Remove the fasteners that secure the IP storage compartment to the IP storage compartment door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 624940  Size: SH
  1. Position the IP storage compartment to the IP storage compartment door.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fasteners in order to secure the IP storage compartment to the door.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  5. Position the IP storage compartment and door assembly to the IP retainer.

  6. Object Number: 624944  Size: SH
  7. Install the fasteners (1) in order to secure the IP storage compartment door to the IP retainer.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the right closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
