Removal Procedure

    Important: Remove the front seat cushion cover and the cushion as one piece.

  1. Remove the front seat cushion cover and the cushion from the front seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 740582 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the seat back recliner mechanisms cable from the front seat cushion frame.
  3. Remove the lumbar mechanisms from the front seat frame. Refer to Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement .
  4. Remove the power seat switch bracket from the front seat frame.

  5. Remove the bolts from the front seat back recliner mechanisms.
  6. Remove the front seat back recliner mechanisms from the front seat frame.
  7. Remove the bolts from the seat cushion frame for the front seat adjuster.
  8. Remove the front seat adjuster from the front seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 740585 Size: SH
  1. Install the front seat adjuster to the front seat cushion frame.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the front seat adjuster bolts to the seat cushion frame.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the seat adjuster to seat cushion frame bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the front seat back recliner mechanisms to the front seat frame.
  4. Install the bolts to the front seat back recliner mechanisms.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat back recliner mechanisms bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the power seat switch bracket to the front seat frame.
  6. Install the lumbar mechanisms to the front the front seat frame. Refer to Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement .

  7. Connect the seat back recliner mechanisms cable to the front seat cushion frame.

    8. Important: Install the front seat cushion cover and the cushion as one piece.

  8. Install the front seat cushion cover and cushion to the front seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
