Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  2. Remove the hood rear side seal covering the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Rear Outer Seal Replacement .
  3. Remove the hood assist rods, if equipped. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 363782  Size: SH
  5. Mark the position of the hinge on the fender.
  6. Remove the hinge to fender bolts.
  7. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 363782  Size: SH
  1. Position the hood hinge to the alignment marks.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the hood hinge to fender bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the hood hinge to fender bolts to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

  5. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  6. Install the hood assist rods. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement .
  7. Install the hood rear side seal. Refer to Hood Rear Outer Seal Replacement .
  8. Align the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
