Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls-3.1L.
  2. Disconnect the washer solvent container level sensor electrical connector.
  3. Important: The washer solvent will drain from the container when the sensor is removed. Place a suitable drain pan under the container before removing the sensor.

  4. Using a small flat-bladed tool, remove the washer solvent container level sensor from the washer solvent container.
  5. Remove the seal from the washer solvent container.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the seal to the washer solvent container pressing in until fully seated.
  2. Position the washer solvent container level sensor to the washer solvent container pressing in until fully seated.
  3. Connect the washer solvent container level sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls-3.1L.
  5. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
