Rear Seat Armrest Replacement Sedan

1. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
2. Remove the rear seat back folding. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement in Seats.
3. Place the centre seat on a suitable work surface.



4. Lower the arm rest assembly (3) and disengage the trim flap (1) from the armrest hinge to obtain access to the retaining bolts (2).
5. Remove the top two retaining bolts from the armrest hinge then loosen the two lower retaining bolts.
6. Remove the armrest assembly (3) by sliding it up and out.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the armrest assembly, to the seat back tray.
2. Install the four attaching screws.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4  N·m (35 lb in).

3. Install the armrest trim flap (1) upper J-strip (2), to the upper part of the hinge bracket (3).
4. Install the armrest trim flap (1) J-strip to the lower part of the hinge bracket (3).
5. Install the rear centre seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement in Seats.
6. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.

Rear Seat Armrest Replacement Sportwagon

Important: Adjust the armrest (3) to a suitable position to access the right rear seat back cover retainer (1).

1. Carefully pull down on the right rear seat back cover retainer (1) and detach the trim flap (4) from the trim flap retainer (2).




Important: Lift the right rear seat back cover trim flap (3) to expose the armrest to right rear seat back frame retaining bolts (1).

2. Remove the right rear seat back armrest to the right rear seat back frame retaining bolts (1).
3. Remove the right rear seat back armrest assembly (2) from the right rear seat back assembly (4).

1. Install the right rear seat back armrest assembly (2) to the right rear seat back assembly (4).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the right rear seat back armrest to right rear seat back frame retaining bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts  to 8  N·m (31 lb in).





Important: Adjust the armrest (3) to a suitable position to access the right rear seat back cover retainer (1).

3. Carefully pull down on the right rear seat back cover retainer (1) and attach the trim flap (4) to the trim flap retainer (2).
