Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1887937 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery.
  2. Remove the instrument panel and tie-bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .
  3. Remove the heater/air distributor case assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
  4. Seperate the heater core housing from the heater/air distributor case assembly. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1887939 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the pre heater wiring harness connector.
  6. Remove the pre heater mounting screws.
  7. Remove the pre heater.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the pre heater with the screws.
  2. Connect the pre heater wiring harness connector..

  3. Install the heater core housing to the evaporator housing. Refer to Heater Core Replacement .
  4. Install the heater/air distributor case assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
  5. Install the instrument panel and the tie-bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
  6. Connect the negative battery.
