Rear License Plate Lamp Replacement Except HSV Maloo

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .




Important: Remove the license plate lamp assembly (1), from the endgate applique (3) by pressing the locking tab (2) toward the lamp assembly.

2. Remove the license plate lamp assembly (1) from the endgate applique (3).




Important: Remove the license plate lamp bulb holder (2) from the license plate lamp assembly (1) by rotating the license plate lamp bulb holder (2) counterclockwise.

3. Remove the license plate lamp bulb holder (2) from the license plate lamp assembly (1).
4. Remove the license plate lamp assembly (1) from the vehicle.
5. For removal of the license plate lamp bulb. Refer to License Lamp Bulb Replacement .

1. Position the license plate lamp assembly (1) to the vehicle.

Important: Install the license plate lamp bulb holder (2) to the license plate lamp assembly (1) by rotating the license plate lamp bulb holder (2) clockwise.

2. Install the license plate lamp bulb holder (2) to the license plate lamp assembly (1).




Important: Install the license plate lamp assembly (1) to the endgate applique (3) by pushing the license plate lamp assembly (1) upwards into to the endgate applique (3). Listen for an audible click from the locking tab (2) to confirm correct fitting.

3. Install the license plate lamp assembly (1) to the endgate applique (3).
4. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
2. Remove the licence plate lamp assembly (1) by depressing the locking tab (2) toward the lamp assembly to release it from the endgate (3).

1. Install the licence plate lamp assembly (1) into the endgate (3). Listen for an audible click from the locking tab (2) to confirm correct location.
2. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
3. Test lights for correct operation.
