Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement 2.0L Engine

Important: The left-hand drive model is shown. The right-hand drive model is similar.

1. Siphon the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir.
2. Remove the engine beauty cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch the power steering fluid.



4. Remove the bolts from the power steering fluid reservoir.

Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in the Preface section.

5. Remove the hose from the fluid reservoir inlet.
6. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .



7. Remove the pipes (1, 4) from the hoses (2, 3) near the left lower side of the front bumper.
8. Remove the reservoir inlet pipe/hose from the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice in the Preface section.

1. Route the reservoir inlet pipe/hose from the reservoir to the cooling pipe/hose.



2. Install the pipes (1, 4) to the hoses (2, 3) near the left lower side of the front bumper.
3. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .



4. Install the hose to the reservoir inlet.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

5. Install the bolts to the reservoir.

Tighten
Tighten the reservoir bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

6. Install the engine beauty cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .

Notice: Refer to Using Proper Power Steering Fluid Notice in the Preface section.

7. Fill the reservoir with power steering fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .

Notice: Refer to Air in the Power Steering System Notice in the Preface section.

8. Inspect for leaks. If there are leaks, correct the cause of the leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Leaks .
9. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement 3.2L Engine

Important: The left-hand drive model is shown. The right-hand drive model is similar.

1. Siphon the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir.
2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch the power steering fluid.



3. Remove the bolts from the power steering fluid reservoir.

Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in the Preface section.

4. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the hose from the reservoir inlet.
5. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .



6. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the hoses (2, 3) from the pipes (1, 4) near the left lower side of the front bumper.
7. Remove the reservoir inlet pipe/hose from the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice in the Preface section.

1. Route the reservoir inlet pipe/hose from the reservoir to the cooling pipe/hose.



2. Install the hoses (2, 3) and the hose clamps to the pipes (1, 4) near the left lower side of the front bumper.
3. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .



4. Install the hose and the hose clamp to the reservoir inlet.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

5. Install the bolts to the reservoir.

Tighten
Tighten the reservoir bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

6. Fill the reservoir with power steering fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .

Notice: Refer to Air in the Power Steering System Notice in the Preface section.

7. Inspect for leaks. If there are leaks, correct the cause of the leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Leaks .
8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
9. Lower the vehicle.
