Removal Procedure

    Important: These procedures are applicable to both of the antenna cables in this vehicle.

  1. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  2. Remove the sunshade. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the sunshade anchor. Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the trim panel from the right cowl side. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the garnish molding from the windshield. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. For the Rendezvous, remove the assist handle from the headliner. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement in Interior Trim.

  7. Object Number: 315777  Size: SH
  8. Remove the bolt that secures the antenna cable extension to the roof. This bolt is located under the right front corner of the headliner.

  9. Object Number: 315781  Size: SH
  10. Remove the antenna cable from the instrument panel carrier.

  11. Object Number: 315778  Size: SH
  12. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  13. • The antenna cable
    • The antenna cable extension

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the following components to the vehicle:
  2. • The antenna cable
    • The antenna cable extension

  3. Install the antenna cable to the instrument panel carrier.

  4. Object Number: 315777  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the bolt which secures the antenna cable extension to the roof.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 3.2 N·m (28 lb in).

  7. For the Rendezvous, install the assist handle to the headliner. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Install the trim panel at the right cowl side. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install the garnish molding to the windshield. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Install the sunshade anchor. Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement in Interior Trim.
  11. Install the sunshade. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  12. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
