Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 621651 Size: SH
  1. Position the front door window in the full down position.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  5. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  6. Loosen the bolts (1) to the front and rear clevice clamps.

  7. Remove the window from the outside of the front door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 621645 Size: SH
  1. Position the window between the inner and the outer door panels.
  2. Point the lower front corner of the window down and pass through the belt opening.
  3. Align the edges with the window weatherstrip channel.

    4. Object Number: 621651 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Turn the window to a horizontal position and align the window with the front and rear clevice clamps.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the front and rear clevice clamps bolts (1) to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  5. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .

    6. Important: Do not allow the sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip to roll over and point downwards. If this condition is present the window will not raise properly.

  6. Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the inner trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
