Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 259167  Size: SH
  1. Remove door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the outside door handle rod from the door latch.
  4. Remove the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  5. Remove the power window module (2). Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the door latch.
  7. Remove the inside door handle rod and lock rod from the door latch.
  8. Remove the door latch from the power window module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 259167  Size: SH
  1. Install the door latch assembly to the window module.
  2. Install the inside door handle rod and lock rod to the door latch.
  3. Connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Install the power window module (2). Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement .
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the fasteners.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
