Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 259165  Size: SH
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the door trim panel bracket fasteners (2).
  4. Remove the trim panel bracket.
  5. Disconnect the outside door handle rod from the door latch.

  7. Reconnect the power window switch.
  8. Lower the window in order to gain access to the front window clamp through the access hole (2).
  9. Depress the tabs (5) on the window clamps (6) in order to release the window from the module.
  10. Manually lift the window to the fully closed position.
  11. Tape the window in place.
  12. Disconnect the power window motor electrical connector.
  13. Disconnect the door latch wiring harness (3) from the door wiring harness.
  14. Remove the upper fasteners (1).
  15. Loosen the 3 lower fasteners (4).

  17. Remove the door latch fasteners (1).
  18. Remove the power window module with the door latch attached.
  19. Disconnect the inside door handle and lock rods from the door latch.
  20. Remove the door latch wiring harness from the power window module.
  21. Remove the door latch from the power window module.
  22. Remove the inside door handle and lock rods from the inside door handle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the inside door handle and lock rods to the inside door handle.
  2. Install the door latch onto the retainer on the power window module.
  3. Install the inside door handle and lock rods to the door latch.
  4. Install the door latch wiring harness to the power window module with the push-in connectors.
  5. Connect the wiring connectors to the door latch.
  6. Install the power window module (2) into the door.

  8. Align the 3 lower fasteners (4) to the keyhole slots in the door.
  9. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  10. Install the upper fasteners (1).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (1, 4) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  12. Install the door latch fasteners (1).
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  14. Install the outside door handle rod to the door latch.

  15. Object Number: 542534  Size: SH
  16. Lower the window into the window module until the window clamp tabs (5) snap into place.
  17. Connect the door latch wiring harness (3) to the door wiring harness.
  18. Connect the power window motor wiring connector.
  19. Check the window for proper adjustment. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Adjustment .

  20. Object Number: 259165  Size: SH
  21. Install the trim panel bracket (1).
  22. Install the fasteners (2).
  23. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  24. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  25. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
