Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  2. Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  3. Remove the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  4. Remove the right IP vent trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .

    5. Object Number: 262577 Size: SH
  5. Remove the left side fastener (2) from the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    6. Object Number: 262578 Size: SH
  6. Remove the right side fastener (1) from the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.
  7. Remove the right side fasteners (2) from the lower edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    8. Object Number: 262575 Size: SH
  8. Remove the left side fasteners (1) from the lower edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.
  9. Remove the left side fasteners (2) from the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    10. Object Number: 262576 Size: SH
  10. Remove the right side fasteners (1) from the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.
  11. Disconnect the electrical connections on the right side of the vehicle.
  12. Remove the IP lower trim pad assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Connect the electrical connections to the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    2. Object Number: 262576 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the right side fasteners (1) in order to fasten the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the left side fasteners (1) in order to fasten the lower edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the left side fasteners (2) in order to fasten the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the right side fastener (1) in order to fasten the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the right side fasteners (2) in order to fasten the lower edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the left side fastener (2) in order to fasten the upper edge of the IP lower trim pad assembly.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 2 N·m (18 lb in)

  8. Install the right IP vent trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  9. Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  10. Install the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  11. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
