Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 262512 Size: SH
  1. Remove the right IP trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Right Side .
  2. Remove the right IP accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side .
  3. Remove the right IP trim plate fastener (2) from the right IP trim cover area.
  4. Gently pry the right IP trim plate (1) rearward in order to disengage the retainers.

    5. The retainers are located on the center most edge of the right trim plate.

Installation Procedure

  1. Snap the right IP trim plate (1) into the IP.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the fasteners (2) to the IP.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the right IP accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Right Side .
  4. Install the right IP trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement - Right Side .
