Console Front Trim Plate Replacement DO7

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear HVAC module assembly. Refer to Auxiliary HVAC Module Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

  3. Object Number: 482508  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws and remove the trim plate from the front floor console base.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 482508  Size: SH
  1. Align the console trim plate to the front floor console base.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the console trim plate screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the front floor console trim plate screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the rear HVAC module assembly. Refer to Auxiliary HVAC Module Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  6. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 326129  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front floor console trim plate starting at the front and working back, pulling the front floor console trim plate upward in order to release the tabs from the retainers.
  2. Remove the front floor console trim plate from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 326129  Size: SH
  1. Position the front floor console trim plate tabs to the retainers in the front floor console.
  2. Install the front floor console trim plate pressing down until the tabs are fully seated.
