The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer may complain that the rear glass function on the RKE fob is intermittently inoperative.
Recommendation/Instructions:
To open the rear lift glass with the RKE key fob, press and hold the rear lift gate button for two seconds before the rear lift glass will open. If it is not held for the full two seconds, the glass may not open and be seen as an intermittent condition. The lock and unlock buttons will only have to be pressed once to lock and unlock the driver's door. You will have to press the unlock button a second time to unlock all the doors and lift gate.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
