Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 844799 Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel cluster assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Disconnect the cruise control module electrical connector.
  4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    5. • The cruise control module mounting bolt
    • The cruise control module

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 844799 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the cruise control module to the IP. Secure the module with the mounting bolt.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the cruise control module mounting bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Connect the cruise control module electrical connector.
  3. Install the instrument panel cluster assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  4. Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
