Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the LH front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .

  2. Object Number: 839796  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolt (1) and the yaw rate sensor bracket (2).
  4. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.

  5. Object Number: 839809  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 2 bolts (1) that retain the yaw rate sensor (2).
  7. Remove the yaw rate sensor (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 839809  Size: SH
  1. Install the yaw rate sensor (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the 2 bolts (1) that retain the yaw rate sensor.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 yaw rate sensor bolts to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 839796  Size: SH
  7. Install the upper yaw rate sensor bracket (2) and the bolt (1).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the upper yaw rate sensor bolt to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  9. Install the LH front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  10. Using the scan tool, perform the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration under the special functions menu.
