Front Fog Lamp Replacement Chevrolet

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 591186  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the connector from the fog lamp assembly.
  2. Caution: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Remove the fog lamp bulb from the fog lamp assembly.
  4. Twist and pull outward on the bulb.

  5. Remove the fog lamp assembly bolts (3).
  6. Remove the fog lamp assembly (2) from the fog lamp impact bar (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fog lamp assembly (2) to the fog lamp impact bar (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fog lamp assembly bolts (3) in order to secure the fog lamp bracket to the fog lamp impact bar (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fog lamp assembly bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the fog lamp bulb to the fog lamp assembly (2).
  6. Ensure the unit is retained.

  7. Connect the fog lamp connector to the fog lamp assembly.

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the connector from the fog lamp assembly.
  2. Caution: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Remove the fog lamp bulb from the fog lamp assembly.
  4. Twist and pull outward on the bulb.

  5. Remove the fog lamp assembly retaining nuts (2).
  6. Remove the assembly. (1)
