Was the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check performed?

Use the Scan Tool in order to command the courtesy lamps on.

Do the courtesy lamps light?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

1. Use the Scan Tool in order to monitor the door input that does not cause the courtesy lamps to light.
2. Open and close the appropriate door several times.

Does the door input toggle?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 4

1. Disconnect the door jamb switch that does not cause the courtesy lamps to light.
2. Monitor the door input with the Scan Tool.
3. Use a fused jumper in order to ground terminal A of the door jamb switch.

Does the door input toggle?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Test CKT 394 for an open between the body control module (BCM) and the door jamb switch. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was an open found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 9

Test CKT 150 between the door jamb switch and ground for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was an open found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 10

Test for an open or short to ground in CKT 1732 between the BCM connector C2 terminal A10 and splice S352. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was a condition found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 8

Test for an open in CKT 156 between the BCM connector C3 terminal A1 and splice S353. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was an open found and corrected?

System OK

Go to Step 9

Important: Perform the setup procedure for the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the repair complete?

System OK
