Subject: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 6A1 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RELUCTOR RING SERVICE PROCEDURE

Models Affected: 1992 SUNBIRD MODELS (RPO LE4)

The following procedure should be used for servicing the Crankshaft Position Sensor Reluctor Ring. This procedure should be added to the 1992 Sunbird Service Manual - Section 6A1.

The following procedure should be used for servicing the Crankshaft Position Sensor Reluctor Ring. This procedure should be added to the 1992 and 1993 Pontiac Sunbird Service Manual - Section 6A1.

CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RELUCTOR RING

Remove or Disconnect

1. Crankshaft, refer to "Crankshaft" in this section.

2. Reluctor ring Torx screws.

3. Reluctor ring.

Install or Connect

1. Reluctor ring.

2. Torx screws.

Tighten

o Screws to 14 N-m (124 lb. in.).

3. Crankshaft, refer to "Crankshaft" in this section.
