Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1591858 Size: SH
  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (6) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

    3. Object Number: 1713085 Size: SH
  3. Remove the ECT.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1713085 Size: SH
  1. Install the ECT.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (6) to the ECT sensor.
  3. Fill the cooling system as needed. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
