Preliminary Procedure

Disable the SIR in Zones 2 or 6. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling or SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.

Bolt, Seat Belt Anchor

Tip
Move the seat to the full forward position to gain access to the bolt.

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

Cover, Seat Belt Adjuster

Bolt, Seat Belt Adjuster

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

Bolt, Seat Belt Retractor

Tip
Remove the center pillar lower trim panel to gain access to the bolt. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

Retractor Assembly, Front Seat Belt

Tip
Disconnect the belt tension sensor electrical connector.

Preliminary Procedures

Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

Seat Belt Anchor Bolt

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

  1. Move the seat to the full forward position.
  2. Pull the seat belt anchor cover upward to gain access to the bolt.

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

Seat Belt Retractor Bolt

Tip
Remove the body lock pillar lower trim panel to gain access to the bolt. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Garnish Lower Molding Replacement .

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

Front Seat Belt Guide Screw

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb ft)

Seat Belt Adjuster Bolt

Tip
Flip open the seat belt adjuster cover to gain access to the bolt.

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)

5

Front Seat Belt Retractor Assembly

  1. Disconnect the belt tension sensor electrical connector.
  2. Remove the seat belt assembly from the seat belt guide attached to the head restraint.
