Preliminary Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

•	For the 2.0L, refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.

•	For the 2.2L, refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.

•	For the 2.4L, refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement..

3. Remove the under the hood electrical center bracket. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement.
4. Remove the vacuum brake booster check valve. Refer to Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve and/or Hose Replacement .
5. Remove the brake master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement.
6. Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement.

Vacuum Brake Booster Mounting Bolts (Qty: 2)

Tighten
17 N·m (14 lb ft)

Tip
Finger tighten the mounting bolts before torquing them to specifications.

Tip
DO NOT re-use the seal if damaged. Replace with NEW.
