Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1656116 Size: SH
  1. For access, reposition the underhood electrical center/junction block bracket. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Reposition the oil cooler outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.
  4. Remove the oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler.

  5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.
  6. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the oil cooler.

    7. Object Number: 1578314 Size: SH
  7. Remove the oil cooler bolts.
  8. Remove the oil cooler.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1578314 Size: SH
  1. Position the oil cooler to the engine block.
  2. Install the oil cooler bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  3. Install the radiator outlet hose to the oil cooler.
  4. Position the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.

    5. Object Number: 1656116 Size: SH
  5. Install the oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler.
  6. Position the oil cooler outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  8. Position the underhood electrical center/junction block bracket. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Bracket Replacement .
