Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 741937  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the upper oil cooler outlet hose from the thermostat bypass pipe.
  2. Disconnect the lower oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler.
  3. Remove the oil cooler outlet hoses and pipe.

  4. Object Number: 190502  Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil cooler connector.

  6. Object Number: 190501  Size: SH
  7. Remove the oil cooler inlet hose clamp and oil cooler.

  8. Object Number: 190500  Size: SH
  9. Remove the oil cooler inlet hose and oil cooler inlet hose clamp from the oil cooler hose fitting.

  10. Object Number: 190499  Size: SH
  11. Remove the oil cooler hose fitting.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 190499  Size: SH
  1. Apply sealer to the oil cooler hose fitting threads. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the 3.5L engine.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the oil cooler hose fitting.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler hose fitting to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil cooler inlet hose clamp and the oil cooler inlet hose onto the oil cooler hose fitting.

  6. Object Number: 190501  Size: SH
  7. Install the oil cooler inlet hose clamp and oil cooler.

  8. Object Number: 190502  Size: SH
  9. Install the oil cooler connector.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler connector to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  11. Install the oil cooler outlet hoses and pipe.
  12. Connect the lower oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler.
  13. Connect the upper oil cooler hose to the thermostat bypass pipe.
