Disassembly Procedure
- Remove the power steering pump and place it on a fixed, flat surface, with the power steering pump shaft facing upwards. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement
- Using a screwdriver, pry the power steering fluid reservoir retaining clip tabs away from the power steering pump and remove them from the assembly.
- Remove the power steering fluid reservoir from the power steering pump.
- Remove and discard the power steering fluid reservoir O-ring seal.
Assembly Procedure
- Lubricate the NEW power steering fluid reservoir O-ring seal with power steering fluid and install it onto the neck of the power steering fluid reservoir.
- Install the power steering fluid reservoir to the power steering pump.
- Align the power steering fluid reservoir with the power steering pump.
- Install the 2 power steering fluid reservoir retaining clips and push the tabs in to lock the assembly together.
- Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement
Press the power steering fluid reservoir onto the pump until the neck is completely engaged or the assembly may leak.
