The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

After replacement of the SDM, DIM or BCM on a the above mentioned vehicles, it is necessary to perform the "Set Up SDM Part Number in BCM" Special Function using the Tech 2. Currently, this special function is not allowing the DIM or BCM to learn the SDM Primary Key information. This will result in a DTC B1001 and illumination of the SIR lamp.

Contact Techline Customer Support Center (TCSC) at 1-800-828-6860 for programming assistance.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
