Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1675028 Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Loosen and remove the engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket through bolt (4) and nut (5).
  3. Rotate the engine mount strut up out of the way.

  4. Remove the engine harness clip (1) from the engine mount strut bracket.
  5. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  6. Remove the radiator air baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors .
  7. Remove the right front engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .

    8. Object Number: 1675217 Size: SH
  8. Remove the A/C compressor front bolt and nut.

    9. Object Number: 1675218 Size: SH
  9. Remove the A/C compressor rear bolt.

    10. Important: Do not evacuate the air conditioning (A/C) system.

  10. Position the A/C compressor aside.

    11. Object Number: 1675027 Size: SH
  11. Remove the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Remove the upper engine mount strut bracket bolts.
  14. Remove the engine mount strut bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1675027 Size: SH
  1. Position the engine mount strut bracket to the engine.
  2. Install the upper engine mount strut bracket bolt.
  3. Raise the vehicle.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Position and install the A/C compressor onto the stud.
  6. Install the A/C compressor rear bolt.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1675217 Size: SH
  7. Install the A/C compressor front bolt and nut.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt/nut to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  9. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  10. Install the radiator air baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle Assemblies and Deflectors .

    11. Object Number: 1675191 Size: SH
  11. Install the engine harness clip (1) to the engine mount strut bracket.

    12. Object Number: 1675028 Size: SH
  12. Rotate the engine mount strut into position.
  13. Install and tighten the engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket through bolt (4) and nut (5).

    14. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt/nut to 48 N·m (36 lb ft).

  14. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
